Sale & reconstruction tasks in Iraq.
January 2004:
This is a press release regarding the establishment of a union of Iraqis living in Scandinavia offering Scandinavian companies all their
expertise in connection to the reconstruction task and sale of Scandinavian products and know-how in Iraq.
BACKGROUND.
You may find this new Task Team a bit unusual, as the Scandinavian trade has not yet directly advertised for employees for vacancies in
Iraq but this must be just around the corner as the reconstruction of Iraq will be in fast progress in the nearest future. There is a
great demand for all kinds of merchandise and joint venture projects, and many Scandinavian companies may be in doubt of what it takes to get
into the market/get in touch with the right people.
That is why a group of well educated Iraqis living in Scandinavia and with a vast range of qualifications has started this Task Team offering
Scandinavian trade assistance with establishing in Iraq, sale or marketing of Scandinavian products
THE CONCEPT.
Our Task team concept is as follows: To attach an Iraqi troubleshooter, e.g. a technician, academic or businessman with one of the
Scandinavian companies who have plans of a project in Iraq. The troubleshooter will render advice, guidance and expertise relevant to the
way of conducting business in the country and even participate in the phase of planning and perhaps later become a delegate in Iraq.
This line of action will eliminate the possible misunderstandings that could easily appear due to language and cultural diversities.
Furthermore the concept offers assistance in extending the company's business in Iraq and thereby obtains new customers. This kind of
assistance could possibly be arranged in such a way that the right person was offered a full time job in the company or could work on a
freelance basis.
August 2004
Since our establishment 4 years ago, we have been able to support and assist a lot of Scandinavian/foreign companies, who wished to investigate
the Iraqi market for possible sale and investment. We have also been able to help Scandinavian companies, who former were in the Iraqi market,
with relocating/establishing contact to former customers
December 2004
Our second business trip to Iraq went to the northern part of the country, mainly to Kurdistan province and the Governorate of Kirkuk.
Once again we had the luck and the great opportunity to achieve entrance to the ever interesting market, in spite of the still very
unstable situation.
Juli 2005
This time the trip took the whole month of July. Also this time the trip was focused on the northern,Sulimanya, Arbil & Dahuk,
where we were engaged in establishing a local branch of our company, that will give us a lot of mobilty & flexibilty in doing
business there.
The interest was very big, and we could gain other new interested customers.

BDX Kurdistan Trade show & Conference -
Arbil EXPO 2005.The first of it's kind in the area .
A very interesting and fruitfull trade gathering which was a product of teamwork between the local
Kurdish authority and the Iraq-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry
IACCI (with a domicil in Bagdad).
We ourselves had a of positive trade activity via this exhibition.
January 2006
This trip was purely an follow-up trip.
Autumn 2006
Promotion activity for certain Danish products.
Spring 2008
Supplying activity - Construction know-how on building sites in Baghdad. Iraq Construction.
